Passenger and Freight Terminals

Gervais Street Terminal (c. 1898 - 1984)
This Station was built in 1898 and was located on Gervais Street in Columbia. It was demolished in the 1980s a victim of the city's track relocation program. On the site is now just a trench for the tracks which once ran downtown. It served as both a freight and passenger terminal for CN&L trains.

Columbia Union Station (c. 1902)
This station known as Union Station was a departure point for CN&L passenger trains in the early years, used in addition to the station on Gervais. At the end of dedicated passenger trains on the line all service from Union Station ended. A mixed passenger / freight train would run from the Gervais terminal for a number of years to come.

Freight Office (c. 1984 - 2005)

This structure was opened in 1984 to replace the dispatcher's office and the Gervais Street Freight House that was demolished in 1984.
It was demolished in 2005.
